Low-Income Housing Tax Credits
Our attorneys come from a variety of backgrounds prior to practicing, including LIHTC development and LIHTC syndication. Because of this experience, we provide a wider breadth of perspective to help clients execute their deals. We can assist with entity formation, LIHTC applications and QAP review, deal and tax structuring along with financial review, syndication, re-financing, re-syndication, and partnership agreement review. Our firm is also well equipped to draft other organizational documents like management contracts, construction agreements, development agreements, or architect agreements. We also are skilled in LIHTC compliance matters and workouts with state entities in the event of conflict. Additionally, we have assisted clients in exiting transactions after the 15-year period, including LP purchases, GP Purchases, Real Estate Purchases, and Qualified Contract processes. We have experience with both 4% LIHTC deals and 9% LIHTC deals.
We are also well equipped to assist with the full capital stack a developer wishes to bring to a project; including but not limited to HUD loans, CDBG funds, HOME grants and loans, Development Fund, AHP grants, and Section 8 Rental Assistance.
