Paul Jones established the firm in 2015. Paul focuses his practice on real estate tax appeals, exemptions and incentives in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. He primarily represents developers and owners of commercial real estate in the Midwest. He has a strong track record of proven results in litigation and in obtaining favorable results for clients in settlement.

In Indiana, Paul represents clients before county assessors, county property tax assessment boards of appeal (PTABOAs), the Indiana Board of Tax Review, the Indiana Tax Court, and the Indiana Supreme Court. In Ohio, Paul represents clients before county auditors, county boards of revision (BORs), the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, and the Ohio appellate courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court. In Michigan, Paul handles appeals before the Michigan Tax Tribunal.

As part of his tax credits and incentives practice, over the course of his career, Paul has served as lead counsel in more than $250M in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) transactions. He has also represented clients in connection with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions, various Indiana state tax credits, multi-family housing bond financing, and other state and federal tax credit and incentive transactions. Paul also advises clients in connection with Opportunity Zone (OZ) financing and co-founded a consulting firm focused on OZ financing known as O-Zone Reinvestment Advisors (OZRA). Paul is also a licensed Indiana Real Estate Broker.

Paul received his Bachelor of Science in public affairs, with distinction, from Indiana University, Bloomington in 1998. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2001 from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, he was an Associate Editor of the Indiana Law Review and a Program on Law and State Government Fellow.
